Geocache Description:

This is a Multicahe around a lovely little village that has ties with Characters mentioned in the book The Da Vinci Code . Hence its name...oh yes and I am lucky enough to live here, you will walk right past my door.. Lookout for my Gargoyles in the garden near one of the clues..

G:UK cache rating The cache is in a container with clip lock lid about size of a sandwich box.. Reset after going missing .. The starting point is above, its about the best and only place to park... so start from there.. You will need to collect clues on the way to get you final co-ordinates... which are.... N 51.A.BCG E 001.DC.EEF

So here are your clues...

1/ A short walk from the car park to the first co-ordinates N51.09.016 E001.16.187 What is the number of the bridge Last 2 Digits = A

2/ Now back on yourself to find the link with the cache title. N51.09.171 E001.16.176 The village was mentioned in the Charter C... Add the first and last digit to give you B. Now find the link to the title as it past into the hands of (Book Link) ..you need the year and the second + third digit = F.

3/ And once again back on yourself, for a village walk, listen for the sound of the mill water... N51.09.124 E001.16.124 Find the Caretakers number 3rd digit = C

4/ Now off to the oldest building in the village. Please respect this area ... Stay on the path and on your right is the Stone of Mary Ann Biggs... You need the year of HER death 2nd digit - 3rd digit + 1st digit = G

5/ Off we go again..Through the gates to the next clue N51.09.100 E001.16.042 The house opposite the path.. you can see the gates from here ... You need the house number = DE

Thats all you need ..you should now have enough digits to make the final co-ordinates... feel free to sit on the corner bench by the house to fill them in..

You will be bounced about with the gps.. you are in a valley and very few houses here pick up normal TV signals all have boosters or digital, mobile phones play up here.. so the gps will go in and out... Just follow the road up.. Over the bridge and onto the path.... Bear left at the post and up the steps... Keep going.. when you come to the steps down, the trees will start to throw you around.. Just cross the road back into the woods.... and then its down to you to find the cache....

Have fun... Please cover the cache well.. then back to the car, why not try the village pub on the way.. lovely garden good food and you deserve the rest.... Other caches here are .. Quick one, while you crack the code... And Save the clues from the Da Vinci Code for Lumber Through to the Valley View
