Located in Creek Ridge County Park on the lower side of the ridge.
Cache is a 4x4x2 plastic container. Creek Ridge is a beautiful park belonging to the LaPorte County Park system. It is near Michigan City on CR 400 North. Park hours are 7 am to dusk and there is no charge to enter. The park has 3 shelters and is very popular for summer picnics. There are many hiking trails, both across open prairies, and through woods. A branch of Trail Creek winds through the park, and large salmon and trout can often be seen in the narrow stream. A handicap boardwalk system winds down the ridge to the creek where fishing is available.
The previous cache here, called Creek Ridge Cache, was plundered and stolen by mugglers. This replaces that cache. Watch for briars and poison ivy. Bug spray is suggested in the summer. The coordinates may be slightly off because of the heavy canopy of trees during placement. Use the hint to help.
