Unser zweiter ausgelegter cache
führt euch in eine schöne Naturoase, über den
"Kermisdahl-Wanderweg", auch "Prinz-Moritz-Weg" genannt, durch
einen Wald, entlang des kleinen Flüsschens
"Kermisdahl".
Der Weg geht durch den
Wald bis in eine ehemalige Parkanlage und der Fluß bot damals
den Kurgästen des früheren "Bad Cleve" die Möglichkeit, die Stadt
auch auf dem Wasserweg, ohne beschwerliche Kutschfahrten, zu
erreichen. Er wurde von einem Arbeitskreis in den letzten Jahren
reaktiviert und führt derzeit von Kleve bis an den Startplatz. Er
soll fortgeführt werden bis an den "Papenberg", der etwa einen
Kilometer entfernt eine schöne Aussicht auf die
Stadtsilhouette bietet. Unterhalb des Papenberg befindet sich auch
die Grabtumba des Prinzen Johann Moritz von Nassau. Später
soll der Weg bis zum "Schloß Moyland" weiter ausgebaut bzw. an
bereits vorhandene Pfade angeschlossen werden.
Um "des Rätsels Lösung" dieses
Mal auf die Spur zu kommen und den cache zu finden lauft ihr über
den naturbelassenen Pfad vom Startplatz aus in Richtung der Stadt
Kleve. Entlang des Weges sind verschiedene Aufgaben zu lösen, die
euch letztlich die Koordinaten für einen micro-cache vorgeben,
welcher dann die Koordinaten für den eigentlichen cache-Ort enthält
...
Die Wegstrecke beträgt, grob
geschätzt insgesamt etwa 3 km, für die gesamte Suche kann man ca 1
1/2 Stunden ansetzen, außer man möchte sich gern noch länger dort
aufhalten. Cache und Suche sind kinderfreundlich ausgelegt -
AWeMa´s kidz waren zumindest "Feuer und Flamme" bei der Suche
...
Besondere Ausrüstung oder
Kleidung ist nicht erforderlich, lediglich wenn das Wetter schlecht
oder der Boden durch vorherigen Regen aufgeweicht ist sollte man
feste Schuhe und entsprechende Oberbekleidung
tragen.
Die Strecke ist theoretisch auch
mit dem Rad befahrbar, aber wer die Flora, Fauna und Aussicht im
Wald und am Fluß entlang wirklich genießen möchte, sollte am besten
laufen.
Für die Suche werden folgende
Gegenstände benötigt: GPS-Gerät, Papier und Schreibstift sowie ein
Taschenrechner.
Es ist ratsam, zumindest die
Foto-Galerie auszudrucken und mitzunehmen, falls es einmal Probleme
gibt, eine konkrete Örtlichkeit zu finden.
Und nun los und viel Spaß beim
cachen, traden und loggen ...

markieren den Zufahrtsweg
zum Park- / Startplatz. Vorsicht: Weg und Parkplatz sind
nicht besonders ausgeschildert / gekennzeichnet. Die Zufahrt ist
unmittelbar vor / hinter einer größeren Kreuzung gelegen. Bitte
nicht abrupt abbremsen oder abbiegen, es besteht die Gefahr, dass
ein nachfolgendes Fahrzeug auffährt!
Vom Parkplatz aus nehmt ihr den
kleinen Weg unter die Brücke hindurch und biegt anschließend nach
rechts in den Wald auf den Pfad ab.
Ihr bewegt euch nun in Richtung
der Stadt Kleve, bis ihr die Örtlichkeit seht, die auf dem Foto
"bizarrer Baumstumpf" abgebildet ist. Dort sucht ihr an den
dortigen beiden Baumstümpfen nach einer farblichen Markierung in
Form eines Flaschenverschlusses. Später unten in der Beschreibung
ist die richtige Farbe einer Zahl zugeordnet - diese Zahl ist das
Ergebnis A.
Weiter geht´s in selber Richtung,
zunächst bis zu dem Ort, der auf dem Foto "Baumstämme" erkennbar
ist. Von dort aus findet ihr in etwa 15 m Entfernung einen
schlanken Baum mit einer zweiten Farbmarkierung in Form eines
Kreises. Der Baum ist auf dem Foto "schlanker Baum" zu sehen, die
Markierung wird dort durch mich verdeckt, damit man die Farbe nicht
bereits auf dem Foto erkennen kann ... Unten ist der richtigen
Farbe wiederum eine Zahl zugeordnet - ihr erhaltet Ergebnis

Der Pfad führt euch anschließend
zu einer "Wassertreppe", die jedoch die meiste Zeit des Jahres
trocken liegt. Am oberen Ende der Treppe seht ihr ein grünes
Geländer. Zählt alle senkrechten Streben und ihr habt die
Lösung C - es ist einfacher als ihr zunächst denkt
...
Letztlich gelangt ihr an eine
Stelle, die der "enge Hals" genannt wird. Am 7.8.1767 verursachte
ein Starkregen einen Erdrutsch in den Fluß, der so dessen engste
Stelle durch die neue Landzunge entstehen ließ. Von dort aus hat
man eine schöne Aussicht längs des Kermisdahl bis auf das
Wahrzeichen von Kleve, die "Schwanenburg". Bezeichnenderweise sieht
man dort oft auch Schwäne oder gar eine ganze Schwanenfamilie. An
dieser Stelle befindet sich auch eine Sitzgelegenheit mit
Picknicktisch.
Auch wenn ihr den cache hier
bisher nicht haben finden können, endet zumindest für die Suche der
weitere Weg in Richtung Stadt, die weitere Aufgaben liegen nun auf
dem Rückweg vor euch. Wer aber etwa einen weiteren
Kilometer nicht scheut und kühle Getränke, ein Eis oder eine
Mahlzeit zu sich nehmen möchte oder eine Fahrt mit dem Ruder- oder
Tretboot auf dem Kermisdahl vorzieht, der kann dem Weg zunächst
weiter in Richtung Stadt folgen und dann später auf dem Rückweg die
Suche fortsetzen.
Wie auch immer: das nächste
"Rätsel" wartet auf euch an der am "engen Hals" errichteten
"Luisenbrücke". Die Frage ist, wann diese eingeweiht worden ist -
das Datum sollte euch von vorhin bekannt vorkommen ... Lediglich
die Quersumme des vierstelligen Datumsjahres ist das
Ergebnis D.
Auf dem Rückweg haltet die
Augen offen auf der Suche nach dem "Drillingsbaum", der auf dem
entsprechenden Foto auch zu sehen ist. An einer der Stammgabelungen
findet ihr einen "GPS"-Hinweis - die dortige Zahl ist
Lösung E.
Jetzt sollte das GPS-Gerät wieder
aktiviert werden, denn ihr sucht zunächst einen Ort an folgenden

Möglicherweise werdet ihr unter
dem Blätterdach keinen guten Empfang haben. An der zu suchenden
Stelle ist die "freie Himmelssicht" aber ausreichend, wie ihr an
der Empfangsgenauigkeit meines Geräts erkennen könnt, welches ich
erst dort eingeschaltet hatte. Die Örtlichkeit müßte euch ohnehin
bekannt vorkommen, sie war zuvor schon einmal von Bedeutung
...
Jedenfalls richtet ihr von dort
aus euren Blick über den Fluß in Richtung des Industriegebiets.
Zählt alle sichtbaren Windräder zwischen der Schwanenburg zur
linken und dem "Klever Ring" (stark befahrenen Straße) zur rechten
Seite. Ihr solltet euch dabei ruhig einige Schritte den Weg entlang
vor und zurück bewegen, da die Blätter sonst eventuell die Sicht
behindern könnten. Achtung: ein Windrad wird, falls es ruhen sollte
und genau zufällig dabei in bestimmter Position stehen geblieben
ist, evt. von einem grauen Gebäude mit Flachdach verdeckt. Solltet
ihr dieses Rad wirklich nicht sehen, addiert der gefundenen
Anzahl eines hinzu - er erhaltet Ergebnis

Da man sich an diesem Ort auch
niederlassen kann, könnt ihr dort die Koordinaten für den micro
ausrechnen. Bedenkt bitte nach üblichen Regeln: Punkt- vor
Strichrechnung, Klammeraufgaben gehen vor.

Wir hoffen doch, dass ihr das
Versteck des micros gefunden habt? Wenn nicht, gibt es hier einige
Hinweise. Es handelt sich um eine Filmdose, diese ist "gebettet im
Schoße" eines im Wurzelbereich stark verasteten Baums. Grabungen
sind nicht erforderlich, vielleicht ein schlanker Arm ... Zu guter
letzt könnte euch sonst noch das Foto "micro-cache" helfen und der
unten cryptierte Hinweis.
Im micro solltet ihr dann
hoffentlich auch die Endkoordinaten aufgefunden haben (angezeigte
Genauigkeit meines eTrex Legend: 6 m). Nun seid ihr dem cache
schon sehr nahe und danach ist es auch nicht mehr weit bis zum
Parkplatz. Einen cryptierten Hinweis findet ihr
unten.
Vorsicht beim Heben von micro und
vor allem vom cache ist hier immer geboten, denn der Weg wird, vor
allem an Wochenendtage, gern von sehr vielen Muggels genutzt
...
Bitte den cache vor Ort und bei
gc.com loggen und wieder gut tarnen. Es wäre auch schön, wenn ihr
ein Foto der Suche oder von euch am cache einstellen
würdet.
Wenn´s Spaß gemacht hat, empfehlt
den cache weiter. Und wenn ihr noch Ziet und Lust haben solltet,
dann laßt am besten das Auto dort stehen und lauft über den Geh- /
Radweg in Richtung Bedburg-Hau knapp einen Kilometer
bis zur Grabtumba des Prinzen. Zum einen könnt ihr den Ausblick
vom "Papenberg" genießen und zum anderen könntet ihr noch den
relativ schnellen multi-cache "Tumba" (GCTXM5) ded Teams
"Goldbären" in Angriff nehmen ...

Our second more
laid out cache leads you into a beautiful nature oasis, over the
“Kermisdahl Wanderweg”, as well called “Prince Moritz
Way”.
The
way leads to earlier “Bad Cleve" through the forest into a
former park plant along the river "Kermisdahl" which in former
times offered the guests of Cleve the possibility to reach the city
also on the water route. The path was re-activated by a working
group in the last years and leads at present from Kleve to to the
starting point. It is to be
continued to the
“Papenberg”, which offers, about a kilometer away,a beautiful
prospect on the city silhouette. Below the Papenberg is also
located the gravetumba of the prince Johann Moritz of Nassau. In
future the way should go up to the castle of
"Moyland”.
Around “the
mystery solution” of the cache you´ll walk over
the nature-left path from the starting point toward the city of
Kleve. Along the way there are different tasks to be solved. The
solution will tell you the coordinates of a micro cache,
which contains the coordinates of the actual cache place
…
The distance
amounts to, roughly estimated, altogether about 3 km, the
entire search may take approx. 1 1/2 hour. Cache and
search are laid out child-friendly.
Special equipment
or clothes are not necessary, only if the weather is bad or it
had been raining before. Then you should were firm shoes and
clothing.
The distance is
passable theoretically also by bike, but who would really like to
enjoy the flora, fauna and prospect in the forest and along the
river, should
walk.
For the search
the following equipment is needed: GPS, paper and pen as well as a
pocket
calculator.
You may at least print out the foto-gallery as it could help to
find all the places if there would accore a
problem.

mark the approach
road way to the park/starting point. Caution: Way
and parking lot are not particularly described/characterized by
signs. The approach road is located directly near a larger
crossing. Please do not abruptly brake or turn, as following
vehicles may crash into your
car!
From the parking
area take the small way through under the bridge and turn to the
right ont he path into the forest. Younow walk towards the
city of Kleve, until you´ll see the location, which is shown on the
foto “bizarrer Baumstumpf”. There you´ll have to search at the two
stumps for a coloured of a bottlecap. Later down in the description
the correct colour is assigned to a number - this number is the
result
A.
Walk along the
direction, first up to the place, which is recognizable in the foto
“Baumstämme”. From there out you find a slim tree with a second
colour marking in form of a circle in approximately 15 m distance.
The tree is to be seen in the foto “schlanker Baum”, the marking is
covered by me, as nobody should see the colour of the mark already
on the foto … Further down you´ll again find a number assigned to
the correct colour - result
B.
The path leads
you afterwards to some “water stairs”, which however most time
of the year lieing dry. At the upper end of the stairs is to be
seen a green railing. Count all vertical iron bars and
you get the solution C - it is more simply
than you may fist think …
Further
on you´ll arrive at a place, which is called "Enger Hals"
(small neck). At the 7.8.1963 a heavy rain caused a landslide into
the river, which resulted into the smallest part of the river.
From there out you have a beautiful prospect along the
Kermisdahl up to the landmark of Kleve, the “Schwanenburg".
Characteristically there are often to be seen swans or
even a whole swan family. At that place there is a seat
opportunity with picknick table
located.
The
next question ist waiting at the nearby located
“Luisenbrücke”. The checksum of the four digit date of
the year when it was build up is the result

On the way back
to the starting point you should look up for the tree which is
shown on the foto "Drillingsbaum". Have a look around the tree and
you´ll find a "GPS" hint as result E.
Now the GPS
should be activated again, as you have to finf a place at
the following coordinates (indicated accuracy of mine eTrex

Possibly the GPS
signal may be weak under the trees. At the place which the
coordinates mark you´ll have free sky view so the GPS should at
leat work there, as mine did as well. You should remember the
location anyway as it has been important before ... Anyhow you
should take your view over the river toward the industrial area.
Between the "Schwanenburg" to your left and the “Klever Ring”
(strongly driven on road) to your right you are supposed to look
out for the total number of modern windcraft mills. You should
maybe move thereby calmly some steps the way along forwards and
backwards, since the leaves of the trees could otherwise possibly
obstruct the view. Note: one windmill is probably covered by a gray
building with flat roof, if it should be resting and standing
exactly coincidentally thereby in certain position remained. If you
don´t see this mill you should just add one to the number of the
ones you really found - you receive result

Since you have
the opprotunity to rest down at that location you could calculate
the coordinates to find the micro-cache there. Please accord to
usual rules: Point before line calculation, tasks of clammy
proceeds.

We hope
nevertheless that you´ve found the micro? If not, there are some
references here. The micro concerns a film box, which is "bedded in
the lap” of the root range of a strongly asted tree. Excavations
are not necessarily, perhaps a slim arm… At last the foto “micro
cache” may help as well as the crypted hint
below.
In the micro you
should then hopefully also find the final coordinates (indicated
accuracy of my eTrex putting: 6 m).
Now you are already
very close to the cache and afterwards it is also not more far up
to the parking area. You´ll find a crypted hint
below.
Caution when
lifting micro and cache is here always required, because the way,
particularly at the weekends, is used by very many
Muggels…
Please log the
cache locally and with gc.com and then camouflage it again. I would
appreciate it, if you loadup a photo of the search or from
yourself with
cache.
If you had fun
with the search of the cache, please recommend it to others. And if
you should still have time and desire, then leave the car untouched
there and walk along the street towards Bedburg-Hau striking
scarely a kilometer up to the gravetumba of the prince. On
the one hand you can enjoy the view of the “Papenberg” and on the
other hand you could have another relatively quick serach for
multi-cache “Tumba” (GCTXM5) of the team
“Goldbären”.
