Geocache Description:

3-stage Multi-cache along hiking/mountain biking trail

This is the first cache set by team Kali-roo! It's along one of our favourite hiking/mountain biking trails in Kingston... definitely the pup's favourite. Dog friendly, bike friendly. The terrain is hilly with lots of logs, limestone, and single-track.

The cache is a 3-stage multi... the first is a micro but the rest are regular caches (#2 is a small protein powder container, #3 a large one). All of the containers are covered in handy CAMOUFLAGE duct tape.

The limestone you'll be walking over is Ordovician (very roughly ~450 Ma) and the exposed surface is rich in fossils such as cephalapods, gastropods (snails... in particular Maclurites here), and various bivalves and trace fossils. These are basically the rocks you see all over Kingston.

Good luck and post your favourite cephalapod shot!
