This cache is located on the Eagle Rock trail which is part of El Chorro Regional Park. The hike is about 1.5 miles round trip and moderately strenuous. Your efforts will be rewarded with some nice views overloooking the valley and Cuesta College.
To reach the trail head, drive to the very back of El Chorro Park. Just before the gate there is parking available on the left. Follow the road past the gate to the trail head about 1/10 mile past the gate.
The cache is not hidden on Eagle Rock itself, so no rock climbing is necessary. The cache location is off trail a little ways. Cache is an ammo can. Please take care to hide the cache as well as when you found it.
Use caution as there are can be a lot of ticks along this trail. Also, BEWARE OF RATTLESNAKES at the cache site!! Make sure the area is clear before you reach for anything.
