As many of you know Frances is home which is a good thing. Then
as some might not know Team J is moving to Rochester, New York –
New York, what, get the rope- which is a sad thing. We
decided to have a celebration for Frances and a going away hugs,
kisses and all that mushy stuff for Team J at the same time.
And hey, July is HOT,so bring your swim suits. The pool is
open!
We wanted to do this in June but Frances coming home has caused
dear husband Sam to be very busy. Then finding out Team J is moving
and their last available date here was July 15 we thought we better
get busy and just do it. As usual we are not putting a time for the
event because we start up the pit in the wee hours of the morning
and some of the hard core doesn’t leave until 2:00 or 3:00 in the
morning. Then, of course if there is a lighting storm, Bosm likes
to go looking for pagers in the woods in the middle of the night –
not no worse than micros in the woods I guess. I will say the meat
comes off the pit around 4:00 or 5:00 and most of the cachers are
there then.
While all cachers are invited and we would especially like to meet
some of you new ones this is also a special thank you for all that
were up at the hospital helping Sam get through those first couple
of weeks. And then there was TerraTreckers and Dream Cachers that
smuggled a few beers in the hospital with the snacks. Also a
special good by for Team J, I couldn’t believe when I was talking
to Dad J he said it had been a good 5 years here. It seems like we
knew them all our life. Maybe it is the bonding of going with Dad J
on Four Cache Loop, Bobby J helping me solve my birthday cache – OK
doing it for me, but I was celebrating, or the Prayer Blanket Mom J
put over Frances and having her wake up that nigh
t. I also can't forget the time we met Team J in the middle of some
rice fields looking for "Crop Circles" by geowyz, they were totally
lost But again come one and come all. Team J is a loss for South
East Texas but I’m sure there are many we need to meet to helptry
to take their place.
