Cache is a large plastic container stashed on top of Rosemount Hill - elevation 1,022 ft. 4X4 highly recommended. The terrain rating on this cache depends on your approach. If you take a 4X4, it's a 2 - if you hike from the bottom, it's a 3.5.
Trail of Thorns (GCHHEV) was originally placed by evelbastard and myself on 1/17/2004 - it was our first cache placement. A brush fire recently claimed the mountaintop, as well as our cache. I went the site on 6/27/06 to replace the cache. I ended up having to submit a new listing because the new placement was too far away from the original coordinates. The old listing has been archived, but I consider this one to be its replacement.
I renamed this cache "Trail of Thorns: evelbastard Memorial" in honor of my late friend and geocaching partner, Steve Duncan aka evelbastard.
