This is to
compliment Mattwaggies event
Meet + Drink = Smiley (Southern
Invasion 2)
We have secured some
camping spaces on a campsite in Wrensbury, Cheshire. Unfortunately,
it’s not as close as we would like, but nevertheless, if you’re
travelling up from down south as we are, it’s much nearer than
driving up for the day!
The camp site can be
found
here:
I’ve spoken to the Landlord
who says that he should be able to fit everyone who wants to come
in BUT he can’t guarantee hook-ups at the moment and it may be in
the Rally Field.
Please can you ask for Joe
(he's aware of the event). Their phone number is 01270 780377
I am also pleased to announce that the costs are £12 per caravan
or tent on the caravan area or around £6 for tents on the Rally
field
This site also has a rule
that you can only have Gas Barbeques.
Other than that, it’s a
lovely pub with supposedly excellent food. It also serves a hearty
breakfast for those of you (who like me) need some nourishment in
the morning!!!
For those of you who don’t
click links, here’s a quick synopsis of the
site:
|
Wrenbury is a quaint village nestled
in the heart of Cheshire. The Cotton Arms is the oldest of the two
public houses in the village with the centre part of the pub dating
back to the 16th century. It is also said to be built with ships'
timbers and a tributary from the River Weaver flows through the
cellar. The caravan and camping site is set to the rear of the pub
built on the side of the Llangollen Canal. Rallies
Welcome. |

Anyone wishing to do The Plough series on foot will have to
backtrack between
Phecda and
Megrez because the canal bridge is still out of
action.
One more thing, the "Let's go Camping" theme I'm told is
copyright by "The Cache Hoppers" so thanks ;)
