Nearby is the monastery Theoktistis that is famous for its unique
chapel. The monastery is not occupied, but you will find a woman,
who will go to the church with you and tells you something about
the history of the monastery and the great frescoes inside the
church. Afterward try the loukoumades made in the monastery. They
are to die for!
The cache is a tupperware container and contains a key chain
flashlight, two Greek stamps, one American quarter a Virgin
Atlantic rubber duck, a logbook and a pencil. The GPS readings may
be a little erratic due to the tree cover.
Small note on cache maintenance: I own a family
house on the island and go back during the summer for three months
as well as short visits through out the year.
