Geocache Description:

This cache is located near Wilson Lake, east of Lassen National Park.  Tree cover could be a problem to some GPSr.

This cache is placed with the help of my nephew Alex and my niece Aarin - the Double A.  It is near the entrance to a Lava Tube Ice Cave - bring a flashlight as you will want to take a look inside the cave.  Please tread lightly.  When we placed the cache we turned off of Wilson Lake Road onto Forest Road 29N19, Lost Creek Road, at N40 20.416, W121 27.163.  I noticed that the road sign is missing this year.  The turn off to the traillhead is East of the cache - it appears you have passed the small road but if you use the coordinates listed below you will be in fine shape.  Proceeded to the trail beginning at N40 20.123, W121 25.449.  The Trailhead is identified by a sign that says "Trail Starts Here".  The hike on the trail portion is about 800 feet.  Another trailhead is shown on USGS maps at N40 20.803, W121 25.872, but none of my group had any experience with this trail.  The container is a very large ammo box with standard identifying stickers.  The lid has a mind of its own so please be careful when replacing.  This is snow country - get this one while the sun is shinning.  I don't recommend the minor side road to the trailhead for large vehicles.  I've visited in my full size pickup and my brother's jeep. Road is narrow and rocky and has some sharp turns with small turn arounds and some low tree branches in spots.
