Geocache Description:

This cache is located along The Osage Fork of the Gasconade River. A canoe or some other kind of river transportation will be required to reach the cache. Trade items should be fishing related as this is what we have stocked it with. Just no plastic or rubber baits. Cache container is an ammo can. There is a short but steep climb to a bluff area that has loose rocks to reach the cache.

The river can be accessed many places but the two closest to the cache are Davis Ford Access at N37 39.531 W92 29.159 (Putin), and Hull Ford Access N37 42.286 W92 29.064 (Take-out).

The total float is approximately 9 miles.
The cache is also close enough to Hull Ford that it could be easily reached by paddling upriver with only having to get out just a few times to pull through some small riffles. There are some long deep holes of water in this section.
The fishing is excellent here too. There are special fishing length and limit regulations posted at the access for this area of the river. This river rates as the best fishing river we have EVER been on.
