A caching event set at Rabbit Island to get together and brush off the winter blues. To be held on the 13th of August (sunday). A treasure hunt for those who want to and a catch up and chat with other geocachers. Feel free to bring along friends and family that would like to have a fun day out and learn a little more about geocaching.
The event will start at 1pm with BYO lunch.
The main idea of the day is a catch up and get together as it may have been a while since we last met and a chance to chat to others and share stories. The treasure hunt will be based on candy and sweets!! You do not have to join in the hunt, but if you do, please bring a cache of candy for each member in your team to find. You can hide your caches before 2pm within short walking distance of the event base. Co-ords for caches to be written on individual pieces of paper and then will all go in the hat and be drawn at random for you to find.
Bring along any Travel Bugs to share or swap, we are heading up north the following week so if anyone wants TB's to head that way we are happy to take them.
Event will take place rain or shine. Also to encourge new members and generate some more interest in geocaching, we will be placing an add in the community 'whats on' in the Leader so feel free to bring friends, family, workmates or anyone who may be interested.
