NOTE: CACHE GOT RECENTLY MUGGLED, SO TODAY 8-16-14, I WENT AND REPLACED IT, SETTING IT AT A NEW NEARBY LOCATION.
FOR NO APPARENT REASON, GPS READINGS BOUNCE AROUND AT THIS LOCATION, YOU ARE ADVISED TO GIVE THEM A LITTLE TIME TO SETTLE DOWN.
Ocean Vista is a 612 ft. knoll with amazing views of the Malibu coastline and Point Dume. The trailhead for this cache is at the entrance of Leo Carrillo State Park. There is a junction just past the trailhead; Nicholas Flats Trail goes west and Willow Creek Trail goes east. Both trails will meet again near the cache site so you can take either one but if you want to grab another cache (GCWY1A) on your way up, you’ll have to take Willow Creek Trail. When you get to the next junction take the south trail to Ocean Vista as indicated by the sign.
The cache is a cammo’d round metal cookie tin. PLEASE RE-HIDE WELL BECAUSE A LOT OF MUGGLES VISIT THIS SPOT.
ALWAYS USE CAUTION WHEN REACHING IN BUSHES AND UNDER ROCKS.
