Welcome to *3~IsAMagickNumber's* second cache, although it's first
in our hearts! (Papa 3 got antsy and planted a micro in our
neighborhood early last week!) This cache is named in honor of our
wonderful canine friend and Mama 3's constant companion of the last
ten years~ Eli Dogberry.
This cache is easily accessed from the road, but is part of the
unique and challenging "Mile of Ledges" portion of the Blue
Trail in Burlington. Extend your hike to find several more caches
and letterboxes, as well as to see some of the most beautiful
forest in the state.
These woods are very special to our family, we've hiked these
trails probably hundreds of times, through every season on the
wheel... always with our fearless leader, our fleet of foot,
sight-for-sore-eyes beautiful shepherd flying along the trail like
the wild wolf he is.
So, we place this cache to celebrate our dear friend's 10th
birthday. Although our hikes are admittedly shorter these days,
with our senior fellow, his furry dog-sister and now our toddler
daughter, they are still some of our happiest times. It has been a
privilege to walk the trails of life with this amazing animal. May
you all know that joy!
The cache itself is a smaller ammo can, not too far from the
trail, stocked with the usual assortment of fun goodies. Make sure
you check out the photos of Eli in the cache! We also enclosed a
few trash bags if you're in the mood to tidy up a bit.
1st to find prize is a $20 GC to everybody's favorite junk
emporium~ JOB LOT! Don't forget to pick up a little something for
your furry friends. Happy Caching!!
