Tulsa Area Geocachers: Hopefully everyone has logged the event by now. It was fun and hopefully everyone had a great time and maybe we should have as much fun at spring fling in april.

We want to thank everyone who attended and would like to say thanks to RJ for making a suprise visit.

By the way we had a total of 108 people that showed up at some point in the weekend.

Geocache Description:

Fall Fest V will be October 14,15 at Walnut Creek State Park

Walnut Creek State Park, on beautiful Keystone Lake, is only a short distance from Tulsa, but far away from city life.

The park offers one of the best equestrian trails in the Oklahoma State Park System.

Located on Lake Keystone, visitors will find swimming beaches, lighted and unlighted boat ramps, softball field, playground areas, comfort stations with showers, picnic tables, group picnic shelter, full and semi-modern RV hookups, and tent campsites.

Hikers, mountain bikers and equestrian enthusiasts will enjoy the 15-mile Sand Plum Trail which features flat to rolling terrain with many vistas of the lake. The park also offers an equestrian campground with electrical hookups, water, picnic tables, grills, picket posts and a comfort station.

Directions: 1 mile W of New Prue, then 2 miles S. The Return of Hide and Seek;

***Build your best cache. Hide your cache at the event (anywhere in the park). Create a cache page (not mandatory, but people like to see information) and bring a copy to CCATBQFM. After hiding your cache bring the coordinates to CCATBQFM. Only one cache per person please!***

Poker Run Revisited;

A cache for the children? A volunteer or volunteers is needed to create a childs game. Thank you Dophe for creating a childrens activity.

101 Ways To Use BBQ Sauce Cook-off: Ann (ExtremeMom) has volunteered to arrange a Friday night BBQ cookoff: “101 Uses for BBQ Sauce” will challenge your cooking abilities. You can enter any dish as long as it has BBQ sauce in it or on it! Hey, if she can win a Texas Chili Cook-off with BBQ sauce, anything is possible!

Our main objective is to have a great time and maybe find a few caches and make some new friends. The Boy Scouts will be preparing the meals for the event this year(prices to follow).
