Cache is located in Lake Herman State Park, near Madison SD. This
is one of our favorite campground/State Parks. Cache is located
nearby a hiking trail and a picnic area that has as nice Scenic
overview of the park itself. You can Park in the picinic area or
get a trail map and hike the trail. You will need a day sticker or
SD parks pass to enter this Park, please support South Dakota Parks
and Recreation Areas. You are looking for a 3 inch in Diameter PVC
pipe that is approx 18 inches long, it is camo'd to meet its
surroundings. Its a test container and will only open on one end,
this end is marked (for now). Please feel free to leave inputs on
the container design. I have 2 similar designs just placed, wanting
to see which will keep the wet out and work the best. It contains a
log, pencil and pen and smaller items for trade.
WINTER CACHE OUTLOOK: I
am a winter accessible cache. This does not mean I will be easy to
find, but I am findable in the winter. I may have certain
attributes that prevent me from being covered by snow. This
of course assumes that it will ***SNOW*** in this part of
SD.
