PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE ATTEMPTING -- THIS IS NOT YOUR USUAL CACHE!
Cache is located in Bradley Beach, NJ.
This cache is in celebration of the full moon. The moon rises in the East, and that's where this cache can be found. Along the Jersey Shore; stealth is definitely required and night caching encouraged.
I HIGHLY recommend night caching for this one, not only to set the atmosphere, but also because of high muggle volume in the immediate vicinity. Please be STEALTHY so this cache lasts!
Full Moon is a tribute to those few days each month when the population seems slightly crazier than normal. Sometimes people claim that "It must be a full moon", appealing to the idea that the moon has some primal influence on us all. Maybe it does, and maybe it doesn't, but there is something else special about the full moons. That's part of this cache's challenge.
The challenge is 3 fold:
1-Find the cache.
2-Find and record the symbols in the cache each month.
3-Figure out the connection between the symbols and the cache's name.
Challenge 1 - The cache is permanently at the coordinates listed. Log your found/ did not find as normal in the logbook and on this site. The cache will be in place with a logbook as soon as it is published. Symbols will be added on the schedule listed below.
Challenge 2 - The symbols can be found on a lamenated sheet placed with the log. Please copy down what they are, but make sure the original gets placed back where it belongs. Symbols from previous months will remain so that newcomers have a fair shot at this puzzle. Symbols will be added in the following manner:
First 3 symbols: September 6, 2006
Next 3 symbols: October 5, 2006
Next 3 symbols: November 4, 2006
Final 3 symbols: December 3, 2006
Challenge 3 - The first person to email me with a list of all 12 symbols and a brief description of their connection to the cache's theme will get their geocaching codename on this cache's page as winner. Please log all finds/ did not finds as usual in the logbook and on this site. The first person to EMAIL me the list of all 12 symbols and the correct connection between them and the cache's theme will be posted as the puzzle winner in the description. EVERYONE who solves the puzzle completely will be listed on the page in a second list!
Now, some further details. What you are in search of is a micro cache. It only has room for the log and the symbols, so unfortunately no trading on this cache. You will need to bring your own pen/pencil since their isn't room in the cache for one. The cache is a clear, plastic coin tube. It is cylindrical in shape, 3 inches tall and 1 1/2 inches diameter. The lid screws on, so please make sure that when you are finished the lid is tightly secured so that rain/ ocean air doesn't damage the cache.
The rock is merely to keep the cache weighted down so it does not get moved by coastal winds. Please don't remove it.
Good luck!
