Musical Mind Numbings - 90's Rock Edition! Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Szuchie: Saying Goodbye: Day 1

Well folks, after a long spring and summer of mulling it over, I’ve decided to spend this week saying goodbye to some of the caches I’ve placed over the years. Sure it’s a little dramatic, but each and every cache I’ve placed has had significant meaning to me so it’s hard to just throw the switch and watch them fry. So since I’ll be archiving some old friends I wanted to send them out with a little bit of grace and dignity.

At first I was going to rent some clowns, have them make me some balloon animals and while away the hours eating ice cream and watch bunnies be pulled from inanimate everyday household objects. But I remembered that clowns scare the hell out of me, and what exactly was a rabbit doing in my microwave anyway? Instead I’ll be saying a few little things about the cache before sending it to the Caribbean for a well deserved retirement.

So without further adieu…

Musical Mind Numbings...most people hardly knew yee. This cache was an attempt at placing something a little different, and was actually an idea spawned by a cache I did in Pennsylvania . It also was my way of paying homage to a slew of 90’s alternative rock bands I grew up listening to that most people have never heard of (and in some instances probably wouldn’t like if they did...haha). I truly appreciate those of you that took the time to figure out this cache (and even more so the adventurous few who took the hike to the bonus), even as the deciphering part was probably a little redundant. Thanks again to each and every cacher who visited – the stage is now closed for business – there will be no encore!

Geocache Description:

Calling all rock stars, calling all rock stars!!!

Tonight, on stage for one night, and one night only, hailing all the way from that place where you keep your stuff, we present YOU!

Brush off your brains, and get ready for a tour of the 90’s: rock-n-roll style! Here you’ll relive fun 90’s info spanning the grunge revolution all the way to the formulization of pop-punk! And you know what they say, “If it’s too loud, you’re too old!” Now let’s get this rock show underway!

The above coordinates are bogus dude! To find the real coordinates for this cache, you must first complete the crossword puzzle chalked full of 90’s head-bangin' plaid-wearing goodness. When solving the crossword please keep the following guidelines in mind: Do not put the word “THE” in front of a band’s name. Example: If the answer is ‘The Who’, you would only put ‘Who’ as your answer. Also, there are no spaces between words. Example: If the answer is The Red Hot Chili Peppers, you would put RedHotChiliPeppers (all one word) as your answer. (Notice I took out the “The” also!).
