Sat 23Sept06 from 10am until 12noon.
Please help clean the water way along the New River in Secret
Woods Nature Center. The Terrain Rating for this C.I.T.O. Event
will range from 1 to 5 depending on the weather(read rains) and
each cachers tolerance for adventure. The Park has muck boots
available for use. We plan on doing a clean up along the New River,
for those of you who dont mind getting dirty and some non-native
plant removal for those who prefer their nails on the clean
side.
The park has offered the use of their kitchen area from noon
until one pm for lunch. Please plan on bringing a bag lunch or
perhaps something to share.
After lunch the park is hosting "singing in the park" from one
pm until three pm. All cachers are welcome to spend some time in
front of the microphone...
Please post the number of people in your party so we have
an idea of how many people will be attending.
please note: there will be a requirement
that all cachers fill out a "Workday Volunteer Application" prior
to working in the park.
If anyone would like to fill out the application before hand,
please contact me with a mailing address and I will mail one out to
you. This would save lots of time and confusion the day off the
event.
