Mount Hutt station is located just off SH 73 on the eastern slopes of Mt Hutt. The area around here is popular for hunting, fishing and tramping, as well as having some of the best skiing in the southern hemisphere.
This cache is located at a small scenic road side layby with great views of the hills, a good place to stop for a cuppa as there is a roomy shelter here.
The cache is a 1 litre camo painted snap lock container. When place contained the usual logging items along with the following swaps; Dodge Viper, Adjustable Spanner, Instant Kiwi Ticket, Micro Playing Cards, Karabina Keyring and the trusty Bouncy Ball.
