Geocache Description:

You will be required to cross a river to reach this cache. This cache is not intended for small children or the weak of heart. Please use all precautions when hunting for this cache. Do not attempt this cache after heavy rains or high water. Park closes at dark. No night caching please!

You will want to park at the north part of Daniels Park. From the parking lot you will head to N41 37.855 W081 24.113 and find a stairway. Go down the stairs after taking note of the sign at the top and follow your GPS from there. We suggest walking along the rocks down to the cliff, and along the cliff until just past the drain pipe to cross. DO NOT attempt this geocache by cutting through the nursery east of the river. YOU WILL BE TRESPASSING in this area and robbing yourself of a nice walk.

We're approaching our one year anniversary of geocaching. To commemorate this occasion, we're placing a cache where it all started. A little early, but who cares. ;)

We were walking down along the river here sometime in late summer when I mentioned something called a geocache that I thought was in the area. I had heard of geocaching a year or so before, but never actually found one. Candace was interested, and two weeks later we had a GPS unit and found our first cache at Willoughby Revisited.

To see the current water level, you can check out This Website. We placed the cache when the stage was at 4ft. Do not attempt this cache if the stage rises above 4 feet or during heavy rains!

We recommend walking up the river a bit before crossing. You will find a wider more shallow area to cross this way. The water only went up to our knees at the deepest point, and during dry periods can only be mid-shin high.

This area is popular for fishermen and other riverwalkers. Finally, you are seeking an ammo can. Be safe!

congrats phil/nichole on FTF!
