Geocache Description:

Alongside newly created bridlepath across ditch from footpath # 2

This is one in a series of caches, each of which will yield clues, to the final one “LAST DOSE”. Each cache will give you a number that corresponds to the letters a~j which in turn will give you the co-ordinates for this It can be accessed via the Fenstanton Footpaths, a copy of the map can be purchased from a number of local outlets especially the Post Office in Fenstanton (located near the clock tower). This costs 30p and is not necessary in order to find any of the caches but might add to the enjoyment of the walks The map can also be obtained from the Norris Museum in St Ives in a pack with details of the other walks in the area.-

Parking in Chequer Street, Fenstanton close to either of the 2 green areas will be a good starting/finishing point for the reference caches. These can be done as 2 loops
Loop A. (2 miles) has –Permission Granted – Oyster Cacher – Clue on 2 – found along its way.
Loop B. (4.75 miles) has – Moore of a view - Bridging the gap - Slip Slipping away – Ouse between the gates – Osier Be(n)d – Fengate dozen. (not necessarily in that order)

N52.18.438 W000.04.558 Upon reaching the road, cross it but be careful! Pass to the northern side of White Bridge and keeping the trees on your right continue westwards along FP # 2 until you find the cache. CONTENTS: silk flower, pen, coin, bee, key ring, clothes brush. Mickey Mouse, wristband

If you were to continue along this path you would come out by Stepping Stone Bridge on the A1096 but if you want to return to your car, turn around and recross Low Road turning south along the pavement. You will pass Crystal Lakes on your left where, on a Sunday, you could browse for bargains at the weekly car boot sale. Carry on a further 250 yds and then turn left across the end of the cricket field along FP # 1, crossing the first bridge you came across (but going the other way) and return to your car. OR… do Loop B. Your nearest refreshment place is at the southern end of Chequers Lane in the King William IV pub.
