Geocache Description:

The multi-cache is located in a forested recreational reserve that is dog friendly. A wide variety of water birds have been seen in the area.

This is a unique little multi-cache based on Five Card Draw Poker. There are five camo-painted cache containers. The first four contain one suit from a deck of cards. The fifth and final container, contains a Joker, log book, one "signature" item and numerous trading items. Suggest you park at S41 16.816 E173 07.767. All up, it should take about 45 minutes to an hour of your time depending on how slow you play the game.

You DO NOT need to do any bush bashing. You will have problems with Blackberry if you try to do so. Trust your GPS and the tracks to the waypoints are there. DON'T BUSH BASH.

How to play the game:

Proceed to Cache #1 at S41 16.781 E173 07.792. The Ace will give you the co-ordinates to Cache #2. Now shuffle the deck and then pick one 'unseen' card and return it to the deck. (If you are a couple or a group, each have a go.) Be sure to remember the card you chose. Now find the Ace and replace as found.

Now proceed to Cache #2,3 and 4 and repeat the process.

Once you arrive at Cache #5, you have chosen 4 cards, one from each suit. Cache #5 contains the Joker that now becomes your "Wild Card". When you sign the log book AND log your find on the computer, be sure to record your Poker Hand. (If a couple or group, record each hand.)
Eg. K,Q,Q,3 Wild Card Q. Hand, Three Of A Kind.

Note: If you draw an 11 or 12, ignore then and make another choice. There are no 11's or 12's in a Poker deck.

Be sure to check other logs, to see who has the best hand. There will also be a periodic update on the cache page to give the best hand thus far. Watch this space! Have Fun!!!!!

Best hand so far: Mrs. Kiwi-Explorer with Four of a Kind.
