This cache is hidden along a trail that exists on land that was once occupied by the Rochester, Syracuse, and Northeastern Rapid Railroad. The path once carried electric trolley lines operated by the railroad from 1906 until 1931. This line was part of the Beebe Syndicate, a group of 12 high-speed, interurban, electric train lines which ran from Buffalo, through Rochester and Syracuse, then north to Oswego. The Rochester, Syracuse & Eastern Rapid Railroad portion ran from downtown Rochester to Auburn through East Rochester, Fairport, Egypt, Palmyra, and Newark.
You will need to hike a side trail for about 200 feet to get to the cache.
The cache is a well camouflaged 6” x 8” x 2” lock and lock container - so judge the size of your trade items accordingly. FTF gets a First Place Ribbon and pick of the contents.
Cache includes a disposable camera for those who wish to take their photo. I will put it up on this cache log. Let me know when the camera is used completely so that I can retreive it.
