This is a great location. It is one heck of a hike though.
This is a great location, but a long hike. In the winter you should be able to drive to it, but you will need to get down to the east base of the tree.
This hike will take you to a great little lake but be prepared for a good elevation change (4000+ feet for round trip) and a bit of rock hopping. I would suggest about 3 liters of water in the summer, I used a filter and pulled from the lake for the return trip.
I parked near the Camels Praire Warming Hut. I don't know the ability to reach this cache from the east.
The cache is a reguar ammo box.
