MadMin: I attempted to contact the owner of WWII Memorial Trail to find out about the status of this cache on October 15, 2008. I have received no response from the owner on the cache page or via email. Because of that I'm afraid I have to archive this cache.

Geocache Description:

A bike-walking trail in Mansfield.

There is a granite monument close to the center of Mansfield which reads---This World War Two Memorial Monument erected on the site of the former Old Colony Railroad Line, which transported thousands of military men and women from the staging area at camp Myles Standish in Taunton Massachusetts to the Boston Board of Embarkation for military service in all parts of the world. This monument was designed and given to the town of Mansfield by Lt. Col. Lester C. McGoldrick. He was Army retired former staff officer, Camp Myles Standish, in memory of all the men and women who served in World War II.
