Geocache Description:

A short stroll around several "Vantage Points" in Newport Pagnell.

To some, Newport Pagnell is just a service station on the M1. But it is also a historic market town, which has resisted the expansion of neighbouring Milton Keynes with remarkable success.

Our first Vantage Point is the home of one of Newport Pagnell's most famous residents - Aston Martin. Based in Newport since the mid-fifties, some of the world's greatest supercars have been produced here - the DB series (as featured in several Bond films), the Virage, the Vanquish (pictured above), and of course, the Vantage. These days the Vanquish is the only car still in production at Newport, and it's days are numbered.

Near the coordinates at the top of the page, you should be able to spot some of these wonderful sports cars. Now that the Fire Assembly Point has been removed(!) - how many cylinders in a V8 Vantage? The answer gives you A.

Next to our second vantage point at N52 05.152 W000 43.210, the Tickford Bridge. Built in 1810, it is the only iron bridge in Britain still to carry main road traffic. The wing wall parapets received extensive masonry repairs in 19BC.

Our last stop is the final resting place of 20 members of the Bull family. This can be found at N52 05.C(A-C)3 W000 43.(8-A)(B-C)0, and they have quite a vantage point all of their own - which is not surprising when you discover that this was the battery/motte of Someries Castle, which used to stand on this site (thanks to Tikal for the info and background image). The oldest member of the Bull family was DE when she died, and the youngest was just F.

Now all you need to do is to plug your answers into the following coordinates:

N52 05.C(E-F)A W000 43.(D-A)(B-F)(E/2)
