Geocache Description:

WE DID IT!!

11,000 caches have been found!! Not by one cacher but 1000 caches by 11 different geocaching aliases!
{This figure may change as other 1000 find cachers join the guest list!}

Come join Doc Geo & wife, Mda_taz, Semik, RileKyle, Blizzard, the DeafDillos, AnthonyV, Ms Teddybear, CindyFrag, Team Tracker, Team Red Fox and many others in celebrating several of the achievements made in Central Texas geocaching this summer.

1000 finds pales in comparison to the 5000 finds we've been celebrating lately, but we want to celebrate what only 13% (roughly) of geocachers worldwide have achieved so far. We wanted something to look back on (like Wayne, TreyB and MCP did) --if we are fortunate to reach our individual 5K marks someday -- and say: "Wow! It seems like yesterday we were celebrating 1K". Our motto is "the more the merrier" (regarding guests of honor) so come all of you who have 1000 finds to celebrate -- or just come because you like a good party!

FAJITAS will be on the grill!! (A few burgers and sausage as well for an alternative.) So bring your favorite sides and enjoy some food, fun and frolic in a Travis County park,

Richard Moya Park, Pavilion #5, on Saturday, August 12th 2006 at high noon.

We will be having a SALSA CONTEST -- not the dance (though we'll stay open for that, Julie!!) but the vegetable based spicy kind! We'll have categories for MOST SPICY, MOST FRESH, and MOST UNIQUE.

There will also be WATER GUN DUELS (this oughta be right up your alley, Outlaw) -- 5K cachers will be pitted against 1K cachers and we'll let other cachers duel as well ;-) --- we'll just have to see who really is the quickest draw!!

Speaking of drawing, to round out the fun there will also be a game of GEOPOKER -- so come early to get a good chance at the best hand!

This park does not charge an entry fee. If you have a State Parks Pass or enjoy camping make a reservation and camp out at McKinney Falls State Park (really close to the event site) that weekend to take advantage of the beauty, wildlife and hiking that park has to offer.
