Geocache Description:

This cache is set in the Westley Heights area of Langdon Hills Country Park.

Dating back to the Saxon period, Langdon simply means 'long hill'. The park sits on a 385ft crescent-shaped hilly ridge which extends from Dunton to Vange. There are two main areas totalling approximately 400 acres (or the size of 200 full size football pitches), One Tree Hill and Westley Heights.

The park is open 365 days of the year from 8.00am until dusk with ample parking. There are panoramic views over the Thames Estuary and across to London. The park includes informal picnic areas, ancient woodlands dating back to prehistoric times, and areas of dense scrubland, and has a good network of footpaths and horse/cycle tracks linking to surrounding countryside.

Free parking can be found at: N51 33.273 E000 25.520 . There are toilets and picnic facilities available. Alternative parking can be found at the end of Dry Street at N51 32.865 E000 24.967 Both car parks close at dusk.

Some caches are situated on the other side of Dry Street and the High Road and care should be taken when crossing. Depending on the route taken you may need to follow a footpath across a field which sometimes contains cows.

To claim the final cache you must collect the co-ordinates from the 5 caches hidden around the park.

You are looking for a micro cache hidden off a main path in the Coombe Wood area of the park. Look out for some lovely pine trees and a very steep hill!
