This cache is located in the Busey Woods, a 59 acre remnant of the Big Grove which consisted of ten square miles of forest surrounded by tall grass prairie. Now, mostly oak and hickory trees dominate the forest preserve.
Recently, a half-mile loop of boardwalk was finished, making this area accessible for those with disabilities. You do not have to leave it in order to access the cache. It is a small size lock-n-lock container.
Parking for the cache is available at the Anita Purves Nature Center. This cache is placed with permission of the Urbana Park District.
