Geocache Description:

This cache is located in the City of Jinan, Shandong Province. It is Jinan's second geocache.

This cache takes you to a giant Buddah Head which is carved out of a mountain. The place is in Jinan.

There are two ways to get to the Buddah Head. One is more interesting but also more challenging in terms of climbing. As a bonus you can do the cache Training Ground on the way. For instructions on how to start getting up the mountain, look at the cache description of that cache On the way up, you have a nice view over the city (if there is not so much smog). You can reach the trailhead from Er Huan Dong Lu (East Road) close to the Shandong Economic University. You can either take a cab or the bus. Take lines 49, K50 or K107 and get off at Shandong Economic University. The other route is easier and starts from Qian Fu Shan Dong Lu, next to a big restaurant.

Because the Buddha head is a quite busy spot, I hid the cache a little bit down the trail. To reach the Buddha Head you have to go a few more meters. The cache is well hidden but should not be to hard too find. It is a film canister.

For the hike, you should wear solid hicking boots, which provide some grip. It's probably not the best idea to go up when it is rainy or snowy. It can be a bit steep, but its a beautiful place that is totaly worth the effort.

The cache contains only a logbook, so please bring your own pen.

Small note on cache maintenance: I will live in China for quite a while now at least a year. Besides I have a good friend, in Jinan, who teaches at the Shandong Economic University and he comes up quite often.
