BINY In My Life - Zona Marilyn (II) Traditional Cache
Prime Reviewer: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

This is off the frontage road for I-20. You can park on the shoulder or at the same place to do DaxVolk's Teamwork #2 (GCQ18A). Plenty of room to stay off of the road, but pay attention nonetheless.
The original BINY In My Life - Zona Marilyn was muggled the first time and then the city completely removed the shrubs where it was hidden the second time, so rather than downsize to a micro, I moved this cache out of the park (and across town). The cammo'd tupperware sandwich container was not water-tight, so I upgraded to an ammo box, but cache is still in original location. Contains carabiner set, super glue 3 pack, three sample day planners our church was sent (nice), some little bouncy balls and stuffed animal thingy. Please replace better than you found it.
BINY In My Life – Zona Marilyn is the third cache in the BINY In My Life series. BINY stands for Because I Need You, thus, the caches in this series are for people I need, and am thankful for in my life. Each cache will carry the name BINY (pronounced ben-ee) In My Life followed by the first and middle name of the person.
Zona Marilyn is my mother's first and middle name, and this cache was placed in her honor for Mother's Day 2006. Although she was born in June 19, 1938, I have only known my mother since January 17, 1969 (I'll let you figure out why that is). I guess most people think their mother is the best, but I know my Mom is. It's only since I've become a parent that I have realized the sacrifices my Mom made for us growing up. It's not like we had such a hard life, she just did the behind the scenes 'mother stuff' that all great mom's do.
When it was time for family vacations, Mom always made sure we planned some special activity/outing for each particular member of the family. Birthdays were special occasions because she cooked our favorite meal. She overcame great obstacles growing up and didn't give up because she wanted to be a mom some day. I'm sure glad she never gave up on that dream.
Two things that make Zona Marilyn #1 Mom in my book: 1) She was always a lot of fun with us growing up (I'd love to post some goofy picture of her with wild hair and a spoon hanging from her nose, but I suppose that wouldn't be a very good Mother's Day present). 2) She prepared me for life. Besides raising me in a Christian home, she made me learn how to cook, clean house, wash my own clothes and she spent time teaching me how to treat my wife someday...and my wife thinks she did a pretty good job at all of this.
So Mom, Happy Mother's Day. I love you and honor you on this special day.
