Geocache Description:

Located in the oasis of Col Silas Burke Park.

==================================================

So, there we were. Hiking through the desert of Col Silas Burke Park with nothing to eat or drink. All we had was a geocache and a GPSr. Then, far in the distance, we saw what looked like a bunch of palm trees and giant livers.

Could it be? Was it really there, or was it just a mirage? It was hard to believe we were actually looking at the famous Liver Oasis.

We ran and ran until we finally got there. It was real! We got plenty to eat and drink, and then we embarked on a mission we knew we had to complete…

We had to hide a geocache.

We hiked through the livers and palm trees until we found the perfect spot. We then pulled out the future liver cache, placed it in the hiding spot, and got the coordinates.

This was a good liver cache and we couldn't wait to post it, so we ran out of the oasis and back home. Immediately, we emailed the Fairfax County Park Authority and waited for permission to post this liver cache. Once we got permission, we posted it for review, and waited...

The container is a standard Rubbermaid container containing some trinkets and a logbook. Be sure to press on the center of the lid after finding the cache to make a good, airtight seal. Also, rehide the cache exactly as found.

Enjoy!

This liver cache was hidden at the same time as Lily Liver, but fear of flooding forced us to wait to post this one.
