A get-together to celebrate a fun summer of geocaching!
This geocaching event at Little Green Pond will be a fun chance to eat some lunch (around noon on Saturday), swap geocaching stories, go swimming/boating, check out and/or trade some geocoins, and enjoy some temporary geocaches set up for the event.
I'll probably camp out Friday night in one of the campsites along the shore of this beautiful pond. I have reserved 2 campsites along the shore, with about 6-8 tent spots between them.
My plan was to bring a case or two of water, and a mess of dogs (and a couple of burgers) to grill, in the hopes that others would bring sides and other stuff that they like having during a summertime cookout. Any other ideas and plans to attend and stuff you'll be bringing can be posted in a "will attend" log (the sooner the better).
I look forward to it, and hope that people can come!
Little Green Pond can be found near the Fish Hatchery in Lake Clear, NY...the dirt road leading to the campsites can be accessed at:
N44 21.155, W074 17.480
drive down the dirt road until you cross the RR tracks, and then turn to the left...drive until you see signs for campsites 9 & 10...Campsite #10 is for people who will be going to bed 9-10 Friday night, and Campsite #9 is for people who will be staying up a little (or a lot) later.
The event will happen in/around both campsites, which are located quite close to each other.
