Geocache Description:

This is just about a 1 mile round trip. The ground falls away and rises moderately steeply but it is walkable (no scrambling) along woodland paths and across fields. It is likely to be wet underfoot in the autumn and winter.

The primary waypoint is for the suggested carparking location. You will need to find two structures and collect information from them to arrive at the cache co-ordinates.

NB - When there is an event at Wembley Stadium (an "event day"), street parking is available for permit holders only. Geocachers are advised to use an alternative, off-street carpark on Fryent Way (N51 34.537 W0 16.540). It makes for a slightly longer walk - but hey, the exercise will do you good. Also, a bit of local history - the carpark is adjacent to an old trackway, which the Saxons called Elderstrete and which ran from the Thames at Westminster in the south, north through Stanmore to St Albans. It provided the old boundary between the parishes of Harrow to the west and Kingsbury to the east. Also known as Hell Lane, this section fell into disuse after the early 1600s.

From the first structure (MS1) you will get a fine a view of the new Wembley Stadium and nearby there is a small pond which is populated with lilies and ducks in the summer and is visited by herons during the winter.

The next structure (MS2) is your link to the Railway Children. Reaching it will take you past the pond and down the hill through the wood.

Happy Hunting!

When you replace the cache don't push it back too far or anyone with short arms won't be able to retrieve it!
