The Hoover Nature Trail is a good idea whose time has not yet come. Money was appropriated in 3 phases, but the job didn't get done and the promise of the trail is unfulfilled. Yet, you, as a geocacher, can experience parts of this trail!
The plan for the old railroad trail was to cover 115 miles on an old railroad bed, between Cedar Rapids and Burlington.
A variety of terrains and views exist on and around this old railbed. Here, it's more open and the brush and trees are less developed. Nevertheless, there are plenty of places this cache could be. Have fun!
