Geocache Description:

In order to nab this cache you’ll have to do some minimal bushwhacking…and a bit of twisty bending as well. It was difficult to get a good lock on satellites near the hiding spot so you will have to think like a kid to find this one. (If you ARE a kid, this will be an easy find for you.)

Some of my favorite childhood memories involve my best friend (Kathy), my dog (Buttons) and FORTS. Kathy and I never passed up an opportunity to find or build a new fort. We scrounged scrap lumber from the barn, dried out corn stocks from the fields, and anything else we thought might be “neat” to have in our hideouts. We loved forts so much we even came up with ways to make indoor models during the winter months. These projects never failed to leave a trail of messes to be cleaned up later…but it was always worth it.

Upon finding a suitable spot for this cache I was whisked back to that 10 yr-old thrill that always came with the discovery of “The Perfect Fort.” I have no doubt that many of you will immediately recognize this “Perfect Fort” instantly…because you were/are a kid in love with forts too.
