Geocache Description:

Trail Creek is located along Hwy 14A between Medicine Wheel and Burgess Junction. This section of hwy is closed during the winter, so summer cache only. Park off the hwy 400 - 500 yards east of mile post 90.

The first obstacle is a steep little hill to get down to the North Tongue River, which is the 2nd obstacle. The hill is short (20 yards) and there are a couple of trails. The river is small at this point. The easiest way to cross is to bring some shoes you can wade in, then, after you cross, put dry ones on for the hike to the cache. (There is a spot at the bottom of the hill where the water is only about 5 yards wide and 6 inches deep. (except during spring runoff it can be higher which will make crossing a little more difficult. Use judgment.) After crossing the river, there are some game trails to follow. It is a moderate hike of about 1/2 mile. At the cache site, you get to view a beautiful little valley that very few people get to see. There is even a rock formation to the SW that looks like Rosy the Robot from the Jetsons cartoon. Elevation is about 8,700 feet.
The cache is a plastic, wide-mouth jar. Original contents are: red, white, & blue beads; 2 sheets of stickers; God Bless America key chain; small plastic church; London Life golf ball; square rock; star shaped rock; Support Our Troops wrist band; and a mini fan(needs 2 AA batteries.
