Along Memorial Drive (the lake Road) around Clear Lake.
Although called Clear Lake, the lake is fairly murky and turbid. But it does have a nice shape. It dried up in the 1920's and potatoes were planted in the fertile soil. A farmer failed to get his potato digger out on time and it is still submerged out there, somewhere.
The town raised a boat load of money to have it dredged, hoping this would remove some of the excess silt. It was dredged for two summers. Effective? You can be the judge.
The cache is on the SE side, a bit further south of where the real cloaca would be found, but there were not any good hiding spots up there.
I averaged 5 readings, some of which were really spread out. Check hint if you have trouble.
