Does a Bear Cache in the Woods? Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Buffalo Bob: Stage 1 is missing. Renfrew Park and Museum no longer allows the Institute to maintain the Four Square Garden. The composting toilets have been eliminated (pun sort of intended). I removed the final container. Thanks to those who found it over the years.

Geocache Description:

A two stage cache calling for a walk of about 0.3 miles each way and only a few feet of bushwhacking. The park is open dawn to dusk. School classes in the garden could make stage 1 unavailable at times.

Renfrew Park is the location of the first cache I ever found, more than three years ago (Old Mill). It is also where I first met another geocacher out on the hunt (Snurt, looking for Renfrew Sisters). Both caches have been archived. Park around 39 44.650, W077 33.500 and take the Edmajoda Trail. The nature signs, now in disrepair, were my daughter's Gold Star Girl Scout project. Cross three bridges and go up the Millstone trail to reach the Pennsylvania Dutch Four Square Garden. One could call this my wife's project, a classroom for the Institute at Renfrew. Stay calm, there should be no poison ivy here, but stay on the path anyway as you try to find stage 1, a micro about two feet off the path. The coordinates in the micro will lead you past the outhouse, my older son's Eagle Scout Boy Scout project. The composting toilets have been removed, and replaced with porta-johns as of 2019. It has genuine oak shake shingles, some of which I nailed down myself. The whole family, including son #2, put lots of hours into that project. But I digress. Today (9/29/19) I replaced the final, which had been lost to landscaping projects. The cache is a small to micro container, large enough for micro trade items only.
