Geocache Description:

A chest filled with Brass, bronze and copper items with a nautical theme. Discover one of the four local public trails to the shoreline bottom. A simple Multi with one waypoint and the cachepoint.

From PV Drive South, take La Rotunda to the end. You will find a public parking lot with a coastal access trail. Parking coord: 33 43.715, 118 20.438. There is a nice restroom here. Take the gray paved path to the cliff edge. Your elevation at parking is 282 feet and you will get to sea level during the .64 mile hike to the cache. Cautions (sounding like your mother): You will be walking through a golf course-you may be hit by golf balls. Do not attempt this at night, in fog or rain. The trails can be slippery anytime, and you could fall off a cliff. Wear waffle-sole hiking shoes/boots and use a hiking staff/trekking poles, and gloves. Watch for rattlesnakes. Bring water, a cell phone and do not go alone. Strenuous steep trail requires knowing your limits. Please do not tear up the fragile vegetation. Use your hiking staff to help in your search. Trade if you like for some of these useless brass paperweights. First-to-find prize is a Bronze Geocoin to keep.
