Geocache Description:

Kirby Park, a Gateway to Elkhorn Slough

Kirby Park

More sheltered than the slough’s ocean end, the inland waters around Kirby Park are a better starting point for new kayakers or when there are strong tidal currents along the slough.

Kirby Park, one of two waterborne sites with parking, put-in, and restroom facilities along the slough. Managed by the Moss Landing Harbor District, this is a great place to start if you have your own boat. It also has the only wheelchair and stroller accessible trail on the slough.

The Cache

The cache is a peanut butter jar wrapped in duct tape to blend into its surroundings. This container is a retired Adams Peanut Butter container that has taken on a new life on the shores of the Elkhorn. It is hidden at the gateway to Kirby Park.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! FTF - Hidey Hunter - "Thanks to geocaching for showing us new places."
