Pack 306 Arlington - Sandy Beach Traditional Cache
Loch Cache: I checked on the cache location and found construction going on 40 feet from the spot. It looks like the telephone pole the cache was hidden under is in a scrape heap now. This cache will not be able to go back out at that location. Good bye Sandy Beach.
The area is still ripe for another cache and there are a lot of spots for one to be placed.

On Saturday, July 22, I took a group of Cub Scouts out to the
fields near Sandy Beach and showed them how to use a compass, map
and GPS. Part of the day included finding a temporary geocache I
had hidden. In addition, each of the kids brought an item to stock
a new geocache. This cache is placed close to the temporary
location and contains those trade items. Please try to keep the
trade items kid friendly. – Loch Cache
Sandy Beach, Winchester is a fresh water beach that is good
for small kids or sunbathing. It is located near the
Winchester-Medford line on the Upper Mystic Lake. The parking at
Sandy Beach is free. During the summer months there are a lot of
people around on the weekends and in the early evenings. Please be
careful of Muggles.
The cache itself is a 3x8 inch lok-n-lok container taped with
camouflage duct tape. Due to the muggle factor I had to get
creative with the hide and used a couple of items I found in the
park to add to the camouflage. Please put things back as they were
when you found it. Turning it slightly as you put it back will help
it stay hidden.
Good luck and good caching,
Loch Cache and the cubs of Pack 306
