Geocache Description:

This cache is located off US 127 just south of Jamestown, KY.

Just south of mile marker 12 and just north of the bridge over Greasy Creek is a side road to the east (southeast) called Old US 127 Loop. At the point of this turn is an historical marker sign detailing that an old paper mill used to be located here (along with some other historical landmarks). The sign is brown and easy to miss with the wild overgrowth as a backdrop. Turn in here, driving a short distance to the bottom to park near the old bridge over the stream. The road is not used any more. Walk southwest over the old bridge. On your right is the new bridge for US 127. While on the bridge, look to your left and you will see a large square concrete culvert that allows a side creek to flow into the main creek. Cross the bridge, take the trail to the left to go down to and cross over the culvert. When standing on the ground over the culvert you will see the tall water fall where the stream tumbles down the rippled face. You can find the cache from here.
Please make sure to put the lid back on tight.
