Monache SFKR (South Fork Kern River) View Traditional Cache

The cache is hidden near the river campsites at the north-west end of the Monache Meadow. It's an easy hike with a small amount of climbing, but getting to the meadow is the difficulty. You will require a 4WD vehicle. Watch out for motorcycles and ATVs.

This cache is hidden along the South Fork Kern River, about a half a mile downriver from the campsites. You'll have to find a way to cross the river.

From the cache you can see fisherman working the German Brown and Golden Trout in the river and the not so distant Monache Peak as well as a nice view of the northern end of Monache Meadow.
