A short stroll through the famous village of Minerve. Minerve is the historical capitol of the Minervois and is visited each year by almost 300.000 tourists. It is listed as ‘Plus beaux villages de France’ and is built on a big rock in a canyon almost like an island. The canyon is formed by the two rivers Cesse and Brian.
Minerve is not only famous by his good wine but also by the tragically history of the Catharses. There is a museum in the center of the town where you can find some more information.

Small note on cache maintenance: I work for an outdoor organisation and we are located not far from the cache at a place called Cantignergues. I'm there more times in a year.
