There is an amazing amount of wildlife in Forest Park. As an amatuer bird-watcher, I've found parts of this park offer a wide assortment larger birds. During summer months I commonly see: mallard and wood ducks, the Great Blue Heron, the Great Egret (white heron), Snowy Egret, Green Heron, Black-crowned Night Heron, and the Yellow-crowned Night Heron. I encourage the reader to look up these species and spot them along the stream near these points.
This is a two stage multi-cache: Go to the coordinates and find a large tree. Get two pieces of info about this tree: it's circumference (in feet) and the year in which it began life (approx). Leave your tape measure at home; you won't need it. You won't need to count rings either. You may or may not need a calculator.
The location of the cache is:
N 38° 38.db6'
W 90° 16.xy2'
where "abcd" is the year the tree came to life, and "xy" is the circumference of the tree in feet. That's it.
Approx 1.5 miles roundtrip walk. No climbing involved. Street parking, but will require some walking.
