The Strawberry Festival held in early fall, was once the most exciting event that happened in Elma. When Strawberry Hill was covered with strawberries, all of the area children got together to pick them. Since then, other known festivals such as the Blackberry, Slug, and Bigfoot festivals came and went, but not without delivering a whole host of fun for the community. Hope you enjoy a glimps of our small community.
Immediately around Elma, state parks, forests and rivers invite an outdoors person to favorite pastimes of camping, photography or just sightseeing. Rivers and streams are the salmon and steelhead anglers heaven, while gamebirds, deer and elk lure the hunter. Enjoy!
In finding this cache you must park at the bottom of the hill and enjoy a short walk up. Take the time to turn around and think of the history that has passed.
This cache is our FIRST hide in celebration of my husband's 65th birthday. Have fun!
