This cache is accessibly located off a well traveled road between Smith and Nelson Lakes. A faithful sentry monitoring the frenzied pace of Hayward's residents and ever growing tourist population.
This cache is a delightful reminder that mother nature maintains the upper hand over the designs of man! Originally slated to be developed as a roadway, this swampy landscape absorbed the fill and defeated the project, necessitating a jog in the road. A boy scout camp developed in later years, but ultimately was destroyed by fire.
The cache is placed in a camouflage gallon container filled with an interesting assortment for geocachers of all ages. It also contains an interesting stone from the Apostle Islands! All cachers will need to lend an attentive eye to the presence of motorized muggles! This is public land, blaze orange should be worn during hunting season.
