English: This cache is located at one of the most traditional Parks of Porto Alegre (Parque da Redenção). It can be easily accessed by public transport or car.
Portuguese: Este cache esta localizado em um dos mais tradicionais parques de Porto Alegre (Parque da Redenção). Pode ser facilmente acessado pelo transporte publico ou de carro.
English:
On the 9th of September 1884 the city chamber proposed the denomination of this Park to be "Campos da Redenção" or Redemption Fields. That was in honour of the slaves that were seeking refuge on that region before the end of slavery in Brazil. Those refuge places were usually called "Quilombos" (Kilombos).
Although officially the Park is called "Parque Farroupilha" , "Redenção" is how everybody in Porto Alegre knows the place.

Em 9 de setembro de 1884 a câmara municipal mudou a denominação desta área para que fosse chamada Campos da Redenção. Esta seria uma homenagem aos escravos que ali procuravam refugio antes da abolição da escravatura no Brasil. Estes lugares geralmente eram chamados de Quilombos.
Mesmo que oficialmente o nome do parque seja Parque Farroupilha, todos em Porto Alegre o conhecem como Parque da Redenção.
